UID Marking

We work with Jet City Laser who produce UID labels for a wide range of applications including Aerospace, Military Marking for US, UK and other NATO allies. Labels can be produced within 2 to 5 days from receipt of full information to be marked and approval of the layout, however in extreme cases we can supply labels within 48 hours.

Materials

Labels can be produced using

  • Alumark: a durable nameplate in .125mm thick aluminium, matte beige background and polyeurethane coating
  • Anodised Aluminum: available in custom sizes and colours from 0.1mm thick, polyurethane coating available for added scuff resistance
  • Metal Photo: photo sensitive Aluminum, available in custom thicknesses from 0.1mm thickness, satin or matte finish, available with image intensification for added life, black or white only
  • Tesa Tape: Tesa Secure 6973 PV 3 consists of a double-layered, highly cross-linked poly-acrylic film with modified acrylic adhesive and a dimensionally stable release paper. It is recommended that a polyurethane edge coat seal is applied after application to the part.
  • Polyester Thermal Label: Available in stock sizes from 0.1mm thickness, tear resistant, peel and apply adhesive, Black on Glass White background. It is recommended that a polyurethane edge coat seal is applied after application to the part.
  • CerMark: CO2 laser engraved nameplates in several stock styles of stainless steel from 0.5mm thickness. Available with hole/weld mounting or adhesive backing, black on metallic background. A polyurethane coating is available for added scuff resistance.
  • Etched Polyester: Polyester laser sheets available in custom sizes, white colour 0.1mm in thickness, tear resistant, peel and apply adhesive, Black on Matte White background. It is recommended that a polyurethane edge coat seal is applied after application to the part.
  • Metalised Polyester: Matalised polyester with overlaminate and permanent Acrylic Adhesive backing. Available in 44.5mm x 24mm size, black lettering on matte silver background. Protected by a clear overlaminate film so they remain clear and easy to read, even in harsh environments. his material is also UL- recognised.


Marking Examples

We can manufacture nameplates in almost any format needed, from UID Construct 1 to ATA Spec 2000 Chapter 9. Below are some examples of different layouts that are the most common.
